Well motors all back together. Got it together Sunday night and was going to head to the track Monday but it was 40 Mph Winds and rain all day. Hopefully weather will hold out next weekend .
After all this I sure hope the car picks the et back up where it was before. ...
Any thoughts or opinions?
What kind of power do you think my motor was down with 2 cylinders (#4 and #8) were down to 135 and 140 psi respectively. .. All the other 6 were between 240 and 250 so basically 100 to 115 psi low. ..
How much power on a na engine would that be ?

wow, I have no idea.
Back iin 1992 I used to have those sleeves over my plug wires to protect them and when checking the timing I had to pull the plug wire from the cap and rotor and install another wire with no sleeve for timing light to work. Other wires wree all in looms. I checked the timing, adjusted in 2* and made a pass and the car felt a lil hesitant in burn out but ran 6.32 @ 112 MPH just like it always did. I lifted the hood to cool off after the pass and I had plugged in the old wire at cap but not back on spark plug so it ran on 7 cylinders that pass. Attched the plug wire to the plug and it picked up to 6.30 (nstead of 6.32) . I was expecting it to be MUCH faster but it was not. I really colud not tell a plug wire was off on that pass i made scompared to the pass with it on.
at was a big block with a dist/carb and no sensors reading things.
I chased problems on my LT1 car for a few weeks and finally swapped out plug wires with some new ones and HOLY CRAP did it make a difference. It felt like a different car or like I had a 75 shot of nitrous on it.
From my limited experience with FI cars it seems the more the computer is trying to compensate for thing and correct things (MAF, O2's exhaust leaks, bad plug wires, etc, etc) the more the performance falls off a cliff and spirals down further and further.
Only one way to know and thats to go to the track . . . . . GOOD LUCK!!!
