Don't feel bad. While out tuning mine, the first good thrash on the throttle wiped something out. Sound like it's ignition related. So I'm hoping for an opti. Isn't that terrible when you HOPE the opti is bad?
Could just be fouled plugs man, they simple and cheap.
I pulled a few, they looked fine. Afr looked good on the datalog. I guess I'll do the usual, plugs wires and good known icm. If that doesn't get it, it's opti time. Then it gives me an excuse to install a set of my spacers

My new (to me) miller syncrowave 300. Just delivered today. Story I got was it was used in a gm prototype environment. It was near Indianapolis. Maybe @meissen would know if there's any truth to that. I can't wait to get jiggy on some aluminum.....

Doing a google I found Castleton Indiana, but I never knew we had GM Powertain there. I thought it was only in Pontiac.
Who knows. Could have just been for plant maintenance. Either way it's kinda neat being a gm fan to have a piece of their old equipment.

Just paid 500 to pick up this beautiful Florida beast with a blown head gasket. Then while planning the attack my wife decided to surprise me with bringing home a new kitten..... I countered by surprising her with the fact that the new blazer is getting the infamous V8 swap!

Yeah, for that year Blazer/Jimmy the L31 Vortec swap has to be the easiest. Plus most people that pop the hood don't even see that it is a V8 because it looks just like the 4.3 V6.
I just always thought the top.end on the tpi is a close second to the lt1 in terms of good looks.
I love the look of the TPI/ LT1 forward facing intake but around here tpi aren't very common in the junkyards plus like muddyjimmy said its easier. Add four wires for the extra injectors and the wiring is done for the most part lol. After rewiring my other truck twice for the LT1 I could use a plug and play v8 project like this!
