Well took the car out to Stanton dragway last weekend. Car was down on power. Started checking basics and that all checked out. Checked cylinder pressure and found I had 2 cylinders #4 and #8 that were really really low. 90 pounds low on number 8 and 100 pounds low on number 4.
Squirted some oil into the motor and rolled it over a bunch to get the oil into whatever was leaking and it sealed right up. Thought I was dealing more then likely with rings but I backed off the rockers all the way off so I could rule out an improver valve adjustment that could hold a valve open and put a leak down tester on it and see its blowing like a fan out the intake port on #4 and both ports on #8.
Got the passenger head off and although there isn't an issue with the drivers bank I'm going to yank it and send them back to Lloyd who did the heads and have him see what's going on with them. . The motors been together for a long time so I'm not bummed by any means but it does suck a bit. I think having the improper guide plates did it?
I talked to you earlier about this today Lloyd
