Damn you guys make me feel bad about my numbers ha. I have been working on the tune, got it up to about 13 at wot, it seems to pull harder but i havent put it on the dyno yet.
I also did some measureing on the exhaust and realized where they cut the cat out they replaced a large piece of pipe with 2.5 inch and they rest of the cat back is actually 2 3/4 so i changed the small part out to 3" since this was all i could find. It also made my wideband readings at cruise more correct, i suppose i had some slight exhaust leaks around my sensor before.
Im really leaning towards picking up a set of regular stamped steel 1.6 rocker arms. I have ran them before on another sbc of mine and didnt have any problems but im still weary. Anyone had any problem with them? I did notice it looks like some people are using them because of the issues with the knock modules and rollers or something. I would love to have a set of full rollers, but the price is too far out there for me. At the most i may splurge for the magnums with roller tips.
Anyway, going on a little trip this weekend, gonna take it and hopefully not get towed home, or have to fix anything in the cold.

Edit: Bought! thanks i would have missed that if you hadnt brought it up, hopefully they are in perfect condition,Ben seems like a standup older gentleman so i have faith in them.
Now if i can just get my lazy butt up and go dyno my car today before i install them next week or so. I wonder if it gained any hp from upping the fuel from 12-13 at wot. Im hoping for a magical 20 hp or so haha

Just got them in. I'm going to put them on tonight I think ha. Ben on the other site did me great, wish I could leave him feedback,maybe I'll make an account over there. I'll dyno this Sunday hopefully and see what improvements this and the tuning has done.

Great score can`t wait to see what the numbers say. Did you do anything with your exhaust yet? If not would be interesting to see how much it frees up as the next upgrade.

I ran comp magnum roller tip 1.6s before with no issues.
Actually had about 4 sets of different rockers on this motor not including stockers now that I think about it.

Well I got them in, all went well no problems at all. Nice and quiet.
Nothing major with the exhaust one section was 2.5 and I replaced it with 3 inch , the rest of the exhaust measures around 2.75. It definetly needs some more flow. I think eventually I'm going to do a cut out.
Next step is dyno this Sunday, and to the track on Valentine's day. I'm so damn romantic

Well here we go. Slight gains with the rockers and more tuning, I'll compare them more later.
I was running into some spark knock about 3300 and above so I ended up having to back the timing down to 29 to get rid of that. Seems low but much more and I start getting spark knock. Could be some funk fuel too though.
Played with the air ratio a little. I was planning on running about 13 but wanted to test 13.5 and 12.5 just to see, it seems to make a little more when a little rich so that's where I'm gonna leave it for now.
Guessing by the small gains from the rockers , I would say that exhaust is definetly the next to go. I suppose I'll shop around for a cut out, and maybe do some more reading on running duals on these cars but I really don't think I'll ever have that done due to cost.

Well I was out cruising Saturday and decided to go by the local (moorseville nc)1/8 mile just to see where it was and they were doing test and tune. So I stopped in. Pretty slow day, I only got three runs in and the track was pretty slippery after the start.
Good news is I did gain time ! Ha looks like about 2 tenths and a couple mph in the eigth. Can't wait to see what it does at the quarter next weekend.
