I was concerned about my pacesetter's being a restriction on my motor. I matched up the exhaust gasket for the header and placed it over the exhaust port of my heads. The gasket was bigger than the exhaust port all around. My heads flow a lot on the exhaust, but the port size isn't very big, and certainly nowhere near 1 3/4" round. Maybe the op's set of headers had some bad welds that protruded inside, and/or maybe mine do (I never really checked into it). I know what my car runs at the track in good air and in bad air. Based on that it makes roughly 600 at the crank and 500 at the wheels. It's right where I figured it would be, even with the pacesetters. If they were a big restriction it would burn through header gaskets, and it's still on its first set.
