They dont all have to be track related... maybe one be autox focused... another one be a competition dyno day focused.... etc...

just some ideas but i think a committee or something should be formed first.... to keep these mini events organized and uniform...

I have several friends who do the whole motorcycle thing and also the "Hot August nights thing" too and I cant see a problem doing the same kinda thing with our cars if we can gain enough interest in a place and time ect.
A "Traveling event" would be great for those of us who happen to be stuck on this side of the country and still want to have fun and be involved beyond the forum.

Soooooooo......... can we get a motion on the floor to form a "committee"? :D

What's the committee for? This one trip or all trips?

i think it should be a committee of people from all over. that way even planning remains UNIFORM

If its a touch base committee I will join. I would also love if we had an annual spring cruise. I would drive to cruise with y'all. Not sure about this one coming up but if cards are stacked my way I will try to make it. I've been wanting to organize ltx platform based events

Well I'm in. But I think each area is going to have to be planned / coordinated by people from that area. I think with all the interest there was in an STL gathering we need to move forward with it. I have sent 30thssclone a pm offering my help, because it was his original idea i dont want to steal the thunder. After people see the results or the planning process come together they will be moved to do one in their area. I'm feel that the things we need to remain in common from event to event is;
Promote the site
Promote the brother/ sisterhood
Promote the ltx platform
Everything else will most likely need to be location specific

I volunteer to help out with what I can.

but i think that committee should still encompass the people from all or at least many of the areas so that event and scheduling between events can also be done... it wont work if u just say hey lets meet in pa... there are hotels near the track... lets meet on the 10th.... ur gonna end up w malay..... im down for whatever and im not going to be planning so its up to u guys..... but...leave at least 3-4 months w no events prior to the MAIN shootout

Agree with both of you. I can help handle the south east. Its going to take more than just one person to handle these events. We need a specific list of people on the committee to coordinate with and by region as well. And we need to keep calenders to keep the events straight and that way not overlap.

Although I'm loving this idea. This maybe what we have needed to do. We get people coming out for events and learning about the site and shootout and the community may start growing and get bigger events.
