I was not expecting GM to win that race at all, especially when I saw the foggers under the hood scoop on the general mayhem but props to aaron and GM for getting that car sorted out. I was half expecting the RK guys to call them out on not following the rules they had set for the race but am glad they didn't make a big stink about it. it was an awesome race for sure!

I wonder what the issue was on that second pass.

I think he was just pumping the throttle to stir up some drama for the show, the car sounded fine from where we were sitting, about 50 yards from the starting lanes. It sounded a lot different before they dubbed other sound over the video.

General Mayhem was a rattle trap, it really looked like some meth-head all tweaked out on a couple of Saturday night's mess of a car. Take the Hellcat Hemi out and it's a turd...Gas Monkey brought a race car, they may be drag racing novices aside from the top fuel car they sponsor but they bright a decent car. Just my .02¢

The trunk of the General Mayhem had a big ball of wiring and random parts that had to be plugged into the harness to keep the ECU happy in the old car lol

Anyone think its weird that dodge is a sponsor of gmg and the show... and oth cars just happened to have hell cat motors laying around for the build?

No, that was part of the deal. Roadkill knew that so they suggested since they already had plans for the general mayhem to get swapped, and GMG was sponsored too, they should do the same swap in something as well and race. The original plan was RK guys, GMG guys, and Mighty Car Mods guys all locked in a junk yard for X amount of hours and who ever puts together the fastest car wins but GMG said they only build junk in the shop, not in junk yards. Okay so that's not what they said, but they wouldn't do that challenge so the Hellcat swap idea came together.
