just ordered a mufflex @Injuneer single with magnaflow race muffler for the car, along with a flowmaster merge. When that stuff comes in, bringing it down the road to a local shop who said they can make it work (fingers crossed)
The merge is going to be way back because of the Gear Vendors. That was one of the reasons I went to duals. Easier than having Mufflex fabricate the new Y-pipe. He did the straight 3” dual pipes though, and the turndowns. All his bends, including the 4” are mandrel bent. He does impressive work. Saw him replacing the side pipes on a replica 60’s Cobra.
thing is, Denny does amazing work. Alot of others in that shop anymore do not. had a buddy go there for an exhaust on a third gen and half the pipes werent fully weldedQuote:

holley had a sale, and i bought the supercomp y pipe with intention of hacking it up, but curiosity got the best of me. 2 dings, and it fits. it does not touch the gear vendors, it hits the torque arm crossmember......[emoji1787]

Why did you do away with the dual exhaust? Was it a noise rule at the track? In the video it sounds very muffled(choked).

it was too damn loud and lacked any ground clearance, had nothing to do with the track. the reason it sounded quiet on vid is the turndowns were pointed at each other under the car.Quote:

We were trying to keep the noise under the car because E’town was a real ball buster on noise levels. When everybody started using single chamber mufflers, they changed the rule to triple chambers.
What muffler is that?
