The intake valves sit below the head deck so I'm not sure what to cc the chambers with. The shop told me they took .006-7 off to clean them up which is about 1 cc but I can't say I trust that.

Slight change of plans... you're all gonna hate me for this lol

Throwing this LT4 intake on in the interest of time with some Bosch 3's. My driveway is about to be torn up so a garage can be built (yes!). The downside is that my car will have to be towed to a relative's house where I won't be able to work on it until building is over. I only have a few weeks left before construction starts so I'm trying to get my turd driveable before then. I'll be opti powered just to get things broken in easily.
I'll continue with the single plane + 24x nonsense this winter. The 24x wheel is on and the AFRs will have the center 4 intake bolts tapped for SBC pattern so the swap will be pretty easy.
Still have to cc these chambers so I can order head gaskets. I bought a random Felpro gasket to check PTV so I'm going to try using that to take measurements and subtract the added volume.
Measuring these chambers with the spare head gasket was a huge pain in the ass. I managed to get a few close numbers though. The heads should be at 63cc after milling and I was getting 62-63cc each time which means the shop didn't take off too much. Going to order Cometic C5645-051 which should put me right at 9.5:1. Quench distance is big at .065" but that can work in my favor.
How does BR7ES sound for a spark plug? .750 w/gasket for AFRs, 2 heat ranges colder, and non projected tip.
Going to use something hotter for NA.
Went to some junkyards yesterday in search of an OBD1 pcm. Didn't find anything but I did see this...

Black hardtop Z28 with most of the drivetrain missing (and no pcm ). No noticeable body damage though.
How much boost do you plan on running? I run the BR7EF with no issues but other LT guys have had fouling issues. Why are you selecting the ES model?
The br7es has a gasket seat vs the ef having a tapered seat
Yep, I need the gasket seat and have been having trouble finding the right br7. Can't seem to find one with the V electrode. Shooting for 8-10 psi to start and adding a few more psi down the road so should I run a 6 instead of 7? Wouldn't the colder plug be safer though?
I would start with the 7 until you get the tune dialed in. On pump gas, I was able to run a 7 on 12# with 9.5:1 compression but I had to make it run lean at idle and cruise to keep them from fouling.
I run a tr6 right up to 15psi
Well... assuming I did this right, it looks like I have a mile of ptv clearance. The exhaust valve didn't even touch the playdough. Used checker springs, junk felpro gasket (thinner than cometic, even uncompressed), adjustable pushrod, and stock lifters/dogbones. I know they're hydraulic but the interwebs told me I wouldn't need a solid lifter if I used the checker springs.
I'm guessing this is because mild cam, huge quench distance, wide lsa, etc
