You can change your religion, people convert all the time, or renounce it (as I have, but that's another story for another time), people can learn other people's culture, the same way we learn languages. I too was raised in church but after my son (Mrs. Mads oldest) came out there was no way I could hold anything against him even tho I was taught differently and he is an awesome guy, I told the rest of the boys that then needed to hang out with him because he is ALWAYS surrounded by hot girls who are not gay!
I wish I had a friend back in the day who was gay and as accepted as they are now cause I could have totally cleaned up in the hot girl department LOL
