On a side note I am meeting a guy Sunday to most likely get a set of chrome 10 spokes with new Hoosiers on the rears and street tires on the front
I think these will look great on my car
Take it simply like this you were given an opportunity and you excelled at the position but you are not "technically" in the rank structure to hold the NCOIC position for an extended position. It was more of a trial by fire and you excelled but now that they know you have the potential they are laterally moving to pass on your knowledge and skills to the mechanics that have no real experience other than schooling and by you showing that you can lead you are now in the teach the teacher position, at least in the army that is how the skills and knowledge are passed down. If you are looking to make this a career military you can now be the liason between the lower enlisted that need the grooming to be like you and when you have the time and grade you will either be the NCOIC right hand man and the learning curve will be less steep for you. If you play your cards right and help the NCOIC get settled he will be in your corner for the performance evaluations and can work to get the your E-6 as soon as you are eligible. Instill your traits in the ones beneath you and work to be eager to learn from the tech sgt. If you are truly good at what you do you will have nothing to worry about and your performance will be noted. I have been in a similar situation here where I am. I was put at houses where the staff either didn't do their job or they would fall asleep and by me having a higher standard to strive to I got noticed. It wasn't always good but it was always legit reasons and they slowly got fixed or the staff causing the issues got eliminated from the company. Then in the past year, I have been put under the wing of 2 former supervisors and they have said that I am now up for the Asst supervisor since the current Asst supervisor has got busted sleeping and smoking pot on shift. I have a reputation and in all reality that is all you have in this life. I make people toe the line and that is not appreciated but deep down they all know it is what is right. So simply put make sure the people under you toe the line and not only will you look good but so will the NCOIC that is being put in charge and you will get more merits for doing it that way then getting pissed and think the world is out to get you. THIS IS NOT A DEMOTION IT IS AN OPPURTUNITY... MAKE THE MOST OF IT. I wish you luck in all of this but simply put it is less work load and headache for you while you get settled in the new place and when it is time to move up your quiet persistence will get noted. Good luck and keep your head up
from the day i got here and took the position i new it was only going to be temporary since i am an E5 and there is a E7 in bound in Dec that will be taking over the shop, but i have been tested and accelerated at what was thrown at me. so who knows, but now its time to move back to the trainer roll.
this was not my first time running a shop, i have had quite a few chances in my career so far to fill positions beyond my rank. this was actually my 3rd NCOIC position and i have also held the shop Foreman position.

Found a decent winter vehicle for Angela.... and they only wanted 3k for it!!! Fired it up...NICE. no smoke. Carpet and interior, needs a good detail. Then we started looking closer... mirror control knob, BROKE... Driver side window, goes down, but switch is busted, cant go up... Took it for a drive, jumped on it from a stop...trans thumps floor from dead stop and bumping gears, but pretty quick (guessing trans mount)... Noticed under window sticker on windshield, glass was cracked.... opened moonroof, sounded like it was struggling, then made crunching noises... front bumper needs repair and paint... and finally, oil smelled and looked ok...BUT, when removing oil fill cap, evidence of "chocolate milk".... JUST A REMINDER: "if it seems to good to be true....(you know the rest)"

All things I could fix or have done...(with worries about moisture evidence)...but book value in EXCELLENT condition is under 6k... Id be over that in repairs or damn close.

Man I reeeeeealy want to do a turbo build.......
Thinking about putting the m122 on something else and going turbo on the monte
Know what I hate. But makes me laugh at same time....... when a LS guy starts talking crap on the LT1 then lists things that are so wrong its ridiculous. Guy said in post on FB that reverse cooling was a weakness for the LT1..... lol
He had a few others but I came back amd proved how little he knew. He quit responding. But PMed me and said the LT block can't handle boost and falls apart at 700brwhp...... proved him wrong then pointed out the water pushing issue of the LS1.
He blocked me and didn't respond
LOL I love ignorant people that try to pretend they know what there saying.
A few things I guess. I like to weld, and id like to build a hotside. Plus the sound of a spooling turbo makes me fluffy. I've been driving around in my cruze with the radio off so I can hear the little turbo spooling up, its pathetic
i think u should fine tune the set up u have...then u can make a production run and sell em with numbers to post.
then create ur turbo set up

almost cleaned up after the blizzard took out all my trees
Actually I was thinking about building a whole other setup based off my l99 mock up engine. I think I've lost direction with what way I want to go with the Monte. I had a great time at the track but I originally wanted a street car. Turning 3k at 55 with damn near open headers is not enjoyable.
I'm considering putting the entire engine/trans setup into the nova to continue r&d on the m122 project.
Being in Spain for the first time I'm realizing how unprepared I was lol. Don't know hardly any Spanish and not as many people speak English as I had thought.... Whoops.

Damn...i thought u sold that one?

No it was listed but no one was interested. Had a guy tell me he'd buy it if it ran and drove. I did that and he disappeared
Damn...i thought u were putting the montes old engine in it at the request of the new buyer

That's what I did. But he never put any money down on it. Just told me he'd buy it. That didn't happen.

Oh yea. My dad bought some sticky tires, traction bars, and a mini spool for it and the plan was to throw nitrous to it and make it a track car. That's why I was considering dropping my whole setup in it. They are light cars, if we can get it hooking it should be pretty fun
LOL You been getting enough sleep lately? The one on the left is Larry.
Saw a Comp TA a few doors down from my house.
Left a note with my contact info. And the site. Been wanting to talk to this guy for over a year. Just got lucky and he was on my street.

I just cleaned my $500 purchase. Not too bad, there is a little pitting on 1 wheel and another is bent, but I'm taking it next week to get fixed and re-chromed
nice.... does it hold air?
