Never understood how a true "pistol" AR is useful for anything other than avoiding the stamp.

Got a new to me toy today. Glock 26 gen 4. Sold my glock 27 gen 2.5 a few days ago. Been wanting to go 9mm for a little while now. And the best part I only spent $35 more on the newer gun lol. It already has a polished Barrel so all I need to do it have some night sights installed and I'll be happy

I'm a Hi-Point owner and I'm proud. Haha. For real though, I have the c9 pistol and it is a great gun. It goes bang and it's accurate. I also have a Mossberg Maverick 88 12 gauge. Also cheap but great. Next on the list is a 1911 and then a carbine. Wife also wants revolver. Hmmm...

Two things I'm for the day:
First, I picked up a m&p 9c for 316.99 at the local LE shop. 3 mags and case. Great deal. I put half on it and used layaway so I didn't get in trouble at home.
Second is an ethics exercise just for opinions.
I bought a pt709 pocket/truck gun. It was 209. Put it in layaway at rural king and picked it up Saturday. Did all paperwork and they were freaking slammed busy. I get the nics proceed, the guy checks my gun, hands it to the walkout person, I take it from him at the door, drive 45 miles home and get it out to clean and out drops someone else's paperwork and the gun is a pt809 with a different serial # and costs about 100 more, is full size, etc.
Legally, I have no obligation to check my serial # or even return it. They have an obligation to correct the number, however if I do not return it.
Thoughts? Man up and return it or make them fix the serial # and keep the more pricey gun.
So you have a NICS in someone elses name with a gun that SN belongs to that NICS, in your possession? Maybe its the liberal utopia brainwashing I have but that sounds mildly bad news to me.
The store knows who you are regardless, so whoever got your gun and NICS is bound to start calling.
No, the nics was in my name. I had a proceed. The assigned serial # was for the original gun. A transfer and associated nics inquiry has not been done for other party or associated gun.
I had already made up my mind to return it, btw. I just found it an interesting conversation about the ethical question between man and box store.
Update-
I gathered all of my paperwork and called the store to explain this morning. The guy said that he wasnt sure what happened but the paperwork in their sales/report book said I had the correct serial number in my possession. He said they didnt even have my initial gun in stock so I should keep the one I have and wait to purchase the other if I was still interested.
Funny how things go sometimes.
May get to carry legally this weekend, too bad NJ says I can't have anything but FMJ. lulz
No kidding? FMJ only seems pretty silly.

For those interested, gunbuyer.com has the shield .40 for 319 shipped. After you buy, s&w has a 75 dollar rebate.
Insane deal for a fantastic subcompact carry gun.
i got the 9mm for 309 but it sold out.
That is a deal. I wonder if the local turners will price match.

Finally got a halfway decent hard case for travelling
If you don't need the best (being pelican or seahorse), this option may suit you well. Its a 36 inch all weather tatical Plano, bout 75 bucks from amazon. Its def no pelican but I needed something better than soft cases and that can be sealed from elements. Not sure I would trust it flying although it says its TSA approved.
Yup, traced it out roughly with a sharpie and then went to town. I should have left more room around the gaps, lesson learned.
But again, 75 bucks and its a nice protective case, can't complain
Fyi- tsa approved merely means hard-sided and lockable. The other two portions of the regulation are declared to the airline and unloaded.
Hard sided and even lockable will be veryyyy different comparing a pelican to this, just was pointing out that it is technically TSA ok'd but IMO I would be wary of trusting it to protect my stuff from airport package guys.
I got it to be able to safely toss it in bed of truck and not worry about sudden rain storms etc etc.
I have flown with plano cases for years and never had a problem.
That's good info as well. I was just passing on what I knew about the regulation and pointing out how companies use that for a selling point when it's basically bullshit.
Funny story- We investigated some claims at the local airport of "TSA theft" and it turns out that they have access to your items for about 8 minutes while on camera and the baggage handlers/airline employees have it for the duration.
Not to say they didnt have some scumbags but it became abundantly clear who had means and opportunity.

That is one sexy sonofabitch.
Hopefully it shoots as they claim!
Haven't heard anything bad but have only talked to 2 people who have shot or own one. Time will tell.
I think this is the glass I'm going to buy.

Don't look for bad reviews, just shoot it unbiased first ;)
What caliber did you go with? The elusive 6.5 creed?
