Hey Ryan, what flexplate did you go with?
Buddy had a barely used 153 tci with bolts he sold me cheap.

Thats what I run, make sure to sand the plating off where the converter bolt heads seat and where the crank bolts seat.
Oh OK I guess the fti converter will have the 153 tooth flywheel pattern on it? Reason I asked is I've got the lt1 tci flexplate and the stock converter definitely does not bolt up.
You mean stock 80e converter right? 80e is 11.5 diameter and 60e is 10.75
The FTI will have the 60e and 80e pattern but with little cuts so the 80e feet fit over the small flexplate.
Otherwise, like I said you step up to the 168 tooth flexplate and you can bolt both patterns up.
Sad how much I know on a useless topic.
Gotcha. I made sure they knew it was for a 153. I was gonna go 164 but I don't wanna buy a new starter, etc. Got a set of arp bolts on the way.
Ill be full of questions.
What threads are the cooler lines?

shows the 97 and later trans are different, idk what Jakes uses for there cores but wouldn't hurt to ask unless they have modified it...
just run a -6 line to the biggest cooler you can run and put a fan on it..
I ran straight nipples out of the trans housing to -6an pushlok, which fit fine, I wanted to avoid 90* fittings. Then a big ass B&M up front and derale fan unit under car.
Highly recommend these guys if you can fit em in your budget

Smelly ATF is miserable.
are you dumping the exhaust right at the k member?
I was, aimed it by accident at the trans, so the trans temp sender I think got some external heat projected at it.
I have a hose barb 11x10x3/4" and a -6an 10x7x1.5" here. Opinions?

Go fittings, hose barb and hose clamp is rigged IMO.
MVB means high line pressures, don't cheap out.
With a manual valve body 4l80 can you run some form of aftermarket shifter? or using a stock one?
Yea, any gate/rachet shifter will work as long as you get it setup for a 4 speed.
Gotcha. Think the an cooler is big enough?

This is what I run up front

Know what your temps are? That's a good sized cooler.

As of now, no.
I need to rewire the trans temp sender and drive the car. If its nice out tmmr I will try.
Well, dipstick, ARP converter bolts, Trans cooler, 1350 yoke, AN adapters and fittings, and a trans brake button all ordered. This should be EVERYTHING on its way!!!
Got the correct VSS plug?
Should be. Asked Jake if it was PnP and he said yea.

Got flexplate and auto pedals in. Wow this thing revs fast with no clutch behind it!

What manual rack are you running? How hard was it to steer, with skinnies up front, with manual rack?
Its a madman rack. Its really not bad with skinnies, but you do know it's there. Mine may pop up in the classefieds, putting normal sized fronts on it lol

Ok. How was the install of it? Before you do it, PM me about it;)
Easy really. Had to modify the steering shaft and supposed to weld a bracket to your frame. I didn't weld it and it un-pressed itself. I made some brackets to hold itself to its own brackets so it is now a true bolt in. Only permanent mod now is that you have to drill your spindles out for the bump steer kit.
