Lol yeah my fingers and forearms are sore now. I looked at the kit and I want the anthracite as well, but $383 vs $60. I'll cave one day and get it maybe after I get LT's.

I hear you there, I'm always debating between cosmetics and performance stuff, which usually ends up with me just getting neither. I just hate to see my car looking so terrible in the carport. Your car's paint looks like it's in much better shape than mine. How many cans did it take you? I may end up going that route on my car for now, or I might just order a couple gallons and pick up a cheap spray gun from harbor freight and try that.
@Chris may be willing to rent out his gun... idk how he feels about that... but im sure with a rental fee and a refundable deposit upon return it may work out for everyone...
It took about six cans total + a can of glossifier. It would've turned out better if I didn't do it at night. For a real glossy finish probably ad a couple more cans of glossifier.

Wow, that's not nearly as many as I thought it would take. Now you got me thinking again...
Spending under $100 vs 300-400 for the kit is very tempting. Since when was plastidipping about being professional? lol
buy two gallons, and find someone with a HVLP paint gun, it'll turn out better than rattle cans or the electric guns. 6 cans will cover a car buy it's not going to peel off in a easy manner if you plan to remove it later. if you never plan to remove it then go for it and just keep a can around for touch ups.
I found a local retailer through the dyc site, I think I'll go pick up a couple gallons from them and look for a spray gun. This should be pretty fun...
I have a bunch of paint guns and a 60 gal compressor with all the in line filters and whatnot. We'll see come Spring!
