Okay everyone the car is running great!
Thanks a lot injuneer!
I was able to use your info and junkyard parts to get my car running perfect!
I used a junkyard harness for the knock sensor from a caprice and crimped it into the existing cut wire on my car and it went together great!
But umm, the guy who owned my car before me was a complete jack a**
He broke the old knock sensor off in the block, so this whole time I've been driving with no knock sensor.
So I had to hammer on a bunch of different sockets and finally got the damn thing out but it was a mighty pain...
I also got a nice ac delco starter from the caprice and installed it and now my car starts normal, yay!
Now here is where it gets awful...
I take the car out for a drive, and MY GOD the thing feels like a rocket!
Its flying through the gears and powering all the way through red line...
I'm like so excited I'm not even letting off and I'm just hauling...
Then... I slam it into 3rd from 2nd gear redline, feel a little jerk but nothing uncommon sounding, then I try and go to forth, but the car wont shift.
I was able to jam it back into neutral but it was near impossible to get into any other gear, I was able to push the clutch in and slam it into 2nd and limp it home, but if you hold the clutch in and hit the gas the car still moves and makes this like horrible screeching sound...
So I'm thinking I broke the slave cylinder or one of the cables?
And I know you guys are going to say I'm young and dumb, but I realize this and am prepared to accept the insults :(
But seriously guys I appreciate your help so much and it was very helpful today, especially with the pictures from injuneer.

Friend at work thinks I might have broken the fingers on the pressure plate?
Hopefully it's not that!
Already bought a slave cylinder, anyone think it's just the slave causing the problem?
Car hasn't leaked any fluid out of the master or clutch reservoir.
Please if you have any info
-
Shit happens. Broken finger is a possibility. Best thing to do is take the clutch inspection plate off and check. You may have damaged the clutch fork somewhere too. Did you miss a gear? Be honest!
-
Being young and dumb is how you learn. At least that's how I did. Haha. Hopefully its not something internal. But if its not leaking any fluid that's what I would think. But I guess if something broke on the inside of the master or slave and fluid isn't getting through it would also cause it to not want to go into gear...
Making you silky smooth...

Ahh shit.. Idk if I would call it missing a gear, but I sort of pushed real hard and got it into 4th but it accelerated fine but then I took it out of gear and it wouldn't go back in. Soooooo.
Idk what the hell the deal is, hopefully I don't have to replace the whole clutch.
Anybody have tips on slave cylinder install?
Thanks guys!

The slave cylinder should be pretty easy to install. I just went through installing a new clutch and all, but I didn't disconnect my slave cylinder from the master, I just unbolted it and set it aside, all hoses still attached. Should be an easy install, bleeding it will be harder I imagine.
-
Ehh okay hopefully this will fix it. Do you have a guide on how to bleed?
Haven't been able to find any good guides.
Thanks guys!

I was really enjoying that story up to the part where you slammed it into 4th...... OUCHHHHH!!!
Anyway, glad you got the engine worked out. The clutch will be a piece of cake by comparison.

Haha I know injuneer.
Under it right now, but seriously thanks for all your help!
I can't seem to figure out how this high pressure line comes off the back of the slave cylinder.
