Opti-Shield

You could seriously make this with a pair of shears, a drill and a vise. Depending on material cost they could probably be pumped out for about 5 bucks a piece, and someone could probably make at least 100 in a day if not more once you got a process down. It wouldn't cost very much to ship them either, in a very small box, so call it 7-8 bucks shipped tops. Whoever thinks they are getting 80 bucks for a pieces of bent metal I could do in my garage in 10 minutes is smoking something.

That's a great question, My dad had one that worked for me, not sure what's the name of that type of fitting, I think it is 1/4 inch fitting but I'm just guessing, sad I didn't take pictures of it

I had a hard time understanding your questions cause I didn't now if you were talking about the opti shield or the hose I put in my water pump but I know now you're talking about the shield. My understanding is that yes, you can install with the water pump on the engine

Sorry for the confusion - this thread is about the opti-shield afterall. :lol:

Question for you fabricators out there, what's the best way to bend sheet metal to make one of these at home without the metal breaking into 2 pieces?
