So I've siphoned gas before. Several times. I needed to get gas from point a to point b today and couldn't find my trusty garden hose so I used a 5' piece of 3/8" hose. Big mistake. There's a certain "calibration" you get from siphoning fuel. You learn how many draws it takes to get the hose full without drinking it. Smaller hose=less draws. Not only did I take it in the mouth and face, but in the eye also. Luckily I wear contacts so I immediately rinsed my eye, removed them, and rinsed some more. Its feeling better now but im done for the day. The shit burns fellas. Ive learned my lesson. I'm getting one of these...

All you need is 2 hoses and a rag. Long hose down in the gas, short hose in and seal the opening with a rag. Blow in the short hose and pressurize the tank and the fuel flows out of the other hose. You never get a mouth full of gas.Quote:

Slow day for me. Me and family went to zoo. Then i came home ordered some O2 extensions from Fastbird. Now watching tv....
well, messing around in the garage (getting cleaned up and ready for this weekend) and after doing some looking and thinking, i think my motor is going to be going in from the top.... how my car sits right now it just seems to be the safest way. if i had the rear fully put in and could use the rear tires as a pivot point then i would go from the bottom, but with it on jackstands on the rear frame rails i just don't feel safe lowering the front to the ground.
So I got rid of my Ford F250 as a work truck and got a 2011 GMC!!! And I will know tomorrow if I'm approved for the 2008 C6 vette!!! And I've only had 3 captain and cokes along with a shot of just captain! Tad bit tipsy.
