Thats even worse than selling it.

I do agree that swapping to a different platform will just give you different headaches... BUT... the headaches will most likely not make you want to burn the car to the ground. Lots of people do it and don't look back. I'd do it, personally, unless your car is rare, of course. My car is a 94 Trans Am non-GT that originally had a firebird spoiler and still has a 115mph speedo. Of course it deserves better.
No no no! No swapping. Either of u! Knock it off!

Just send it up north here and let me finger out what der is a madder wit er.
In Delaware speak:
If u need a hand I could come down on a weekend in a couple weeks and u can let me use my few years of ridiculous problems I've had building 4 of these pita motors to help you get her running.

Delaware DMV is one of the main reasons my car is still sitting with and expired t tag on it in my shop. Every day that goes makes me think it is time to sell it off in pieces along with the 87 Trans am. I really don't have the patience anymore for either car. The camaro pisses me off the most because nothing changed with the car since last time thru DMV and the last straw is when they blatlenly screwed up the sniffer test but wouldn't own up or Redo it. Just told me to leave and go fix it.

So DE does emissions testing at the DMV? Is there a way around it - like classic tags or something? My end game was to move to DE near the beaches, but being raised in a PA county that doesn't do any emissions checks, I'm kind of spoiled.
Yes, emissions testing would be a reason for me not to move somewhere. Haha
If you have a OBD2 car then your golden. It could literally have a bottom of the page cam, fuel dripping from the exhaust and as long as there's no cel...you pass. They have emissions waivers but its only for factory unmolested vehicles. Classic tags are the same, has to be stock. I wouldn't be thinking of a swap if I didn't have a running 99 LS parts car sitting 10 feet from my Formula now. That and the amount of LS support in the area is ridiculous. My next project was going to be the LS Mustang but it might be time to consolidate my efforts.
OBD2 is the best in this state, my sons blown Audi runs rich as hell at idle but passes the DMV no problems. As for classic tags i have have looked into it for my car. We have them on all the old cars. The car has to be 25 years old and basically stock. I know a Dover guy with a yellow 3rd gen that is modded that got classic tags. If i dont tear apart the camaro and sell it before 2018 I am going to try for classic tags. The problem is it still needs to pass the sniffer atleat that one last time. I can always try to tell them it is a special edition car. They are not too bright, which sometimes can be a help but most of the time is a pain in the ass.
What if you do the 24x route with an OBD2 harness?
