Soooo, to update on this, per "Aftermarket Ltx Block Committee" on FB a few days ago:
"Tooling cut will be done in 3-4 weeks and the 1st prototype block poured mid to end of October. Finished product will be on display at PRI in December and available for purchase and ordering after that." This will be a 2-piece rear main instead of 1-piece rear unfortunately.
So it is finally happening, right as I am getting ready to assemble a new 396 haha. So it looks like I will be selling a low mileage 396 next year so I can go 427 lol.
