Yep. He still has the 87-93 Vette listed on the website. Also, talk to @jaysz2893 about the real time emulator (Moates Roadrunner I believe). Can actually plug it in, load it up, and real time tune with it BEFORE burning a final chip. It's neat stuff.
Oh, let me look around too. I may have a couple of chips and an adapter floating around here somewhere. Remember, I used to run SpeedDensity.org back in the 2001-2007 timeframe.

I happen to have a spare Moates Ostrich sitting around. It is the best option if you cant find a chip burner. Use Tunerpro R/T to upload the .bin. The .ads and .xdf files are all still at Moates support site. I run the Ostrich all the time in place of the Prom.
also I have an alvin tune with full bolt ons and a baby LPE cam... made approx 350/350 at the wheels.

LOL, No I don't work for MSD. My wifes '94 GM opti failed from corrosion damage at just over 50k, then again at just about 110k again from corrosion/ moisture damage. I posted photos here of the damage. I know alot of people got burned on defective MSD opti's. I "THINK" they may have resolved the earlier issues. I figured I didn't have anything to lose buying a vented version of the early spline drive unit. So far "knock on wood" it's worked fine.
I've had another experience with them, when I bought my '97 it already had a MSD opti. The previous owner gave me a folder full of info on the car and I found that the MSD opti that was in it had the rotor fall off sometime in the early 2000's. The repair ticket said the nechanic just put the rotor back on and all was well. While I was doing a head job on it I decided to replace it. I contacted MSD and told them I had paperwork proving that I had one of their problem units from around 2001. They told me to send it and they would rebuild for $130 even though it was well out of warranty. To my surprise they sent me back a brand new opti which is working flawless "knock on wood". I think that they may have all the problems resolved now, it has been nearly 20 yrs ago when they had all the issues. But I do understand many still have a bad taste in their mouth about the MSD opti.
Problem with the MSD seems to be new problems pop up at random times. A large batch from about 4 years ago had a problem with intermittent, spurious high res pulses making the PCM think the engine was turning as high as 7,000 RPM. The PCM would respond by raising the IAC counts, and idle would jump as high as 3,000 RPM, and surge all over the place. I gave MSD data logs showing the problem, and eventually they figured out it was something with the cap (stray high voltage pulses interfering w/ the optical module?). There’s a thread on this site summarizing the events. The thread started with an MSD tech rep who is a member here offering discount prices on cosmetically damaged surplus caps.
Of the three people I helped with this problem, 2 sent the defective units back to MSD and had them rebuilt. In both cases the returned rebuilt units were defective and the engine would not start. One guy just gave up. The other got a third unit from MSD (new, not rebuilt) and it was OK.
MSD makes great stuff, but their Opti has always had issues.
