Convertibles are on the Fat side.HEAVY!!.

See I could have bought an LS car when they came out but I loved having my LT car for projects and upgrades, plus it holds more sentimental value for me than buying a new car. I don't ever plan on selling mine.
That being said, if you don't plan on keeping your LT for years and years then depending on the overall condition between the two of them it might be better for you to trade.

If he really wants a Ls1 just buy one with that 2500 then drive the lt1 until the ls1 is built and ready to be dropped in
