Hey, I'm not crazy after all. I think that's exactly what happened. I wish those darn shock mounts weren't so expensive. This one was brand spankin' new. Anyway, thanks for confirming that. I will plan to get 'er running and then replace the shock mount (again)..

LOL, if you thought they were ok and "free floating" as shown in that picture then yes, you are crazy! LOL! If it is a new shock mount then I would return it under warranty.

OK, I am just about to turn the key on this "beast" but I have one small dilemma: remember I have a '93 LT1 block going into a '94 Z28. There is an oil pressure sensor connector on the block that I don't seem to have a wire for. I looked at my '94 block and there is no similar looking sensor in the same location. Is it possible that mine is a later '94 block and this sensor was changed or removed (or accounted for in a different way)? My service manual (genuine GM) shows the this oil pressure sensor and that wire should come from the same group of wires as the oil level sensor. If anyone has the manual and wants to verify what I am referring to, it is in Engine Wiring section 6D, page 5-6 (it is labeled as "E").
