@SJx408 one more thing because I'm curious. If you could by any chance measure the length of the shifter stick too? Mine shifter stick seems to measure out to 7 inches roughly from the spot where it mounts to the top of the knob. Thank you again. And sorry if it came out really damn weird.

No problem bud! I'll take care of it in the AM had school then straight to work today and I'm beat. I'll admit I'm too lazy to take the damn cover off the car right now. My car was a DD for a year or so. Bought it with 134k and its at 145k now, had it for 3 years already rolling on 4 in a few months. It's a weekend car for the most part. I spent the 1st year working out all the kinks, ignition (plugs wires opti) since it struggled and bogged on occasion. Then I re did suspension so it rode a little smoother and not 4x4 lol. Then I bought "The Shitty" 93 yota pickup 22RE 5sp. So no more DD duties. That's pretty much where she sits now. I enjoy her still, just keeping the miles off for now, planning a build in the next year or so...you know how it goes. Anyway thread jack aside lol here are the pics. @DanDalessandro

Took a pic of the shift knob just to show how deep the threads are. I bought another one (white no patter)on eBay and I wasn't fond of it, it's hollow inside and the threads start right away so it sits way too high so i don't use it. But pretty simple and looks like the measurements are the same. If you need it lower you can take an inch or 2 off the bottom, I would do that if you went back to a hurst knob since they are so tall. I may take an inch off mine. But there ya go!

I think I got it figured out.
with the hurst, I would have my arm directly behind it. With this, I keep my arm closer to me if that makes any sense lol.

Ended up cutting a half inch off the stick. I'm gonna cut another half inch off tomorrow. I went driving around and hit second but wasn't paying attention. Made a few WOT pulls and had no problems. I'll get a picture of the new length tomorrow before I cut it and after
