Not really, FINALLY got the oil pump drive after almost two weeks.
0411 Pcm I sent Moe wasn't from a f body so I'm a little pissed off. I was told it was.

According to Moe, he has to do some more magic with it to make it work.
Came out of a damn LM7 truck.
Oh well, we'll make it work.
Change the vin and you win. My PCM was a V6 fbody in a previous life.
I'm pretty sure you can flash them to work for whatever, I'm using the stock LM7 ecm with HPTuner in my car without issue.
Moe can't tune truck PCMs so he's having someone else load the tune for me. Just gotta mail money again. I've spent 350 on a tune so far. The first one never worked on the other lt1 pcm.
350 to me is chump change to you. This is just a Mail order tune. Just annoyed I have to spend more money but I understand.
I like Moe, I trust him over anybody else for a mail order. I hope he doesn't get the wrong idea from this.

Everyone has to remember... if ur not doing a street/driving or dyno tune... u cant be upset if its not 100% or sometimes even close. Each car is different and mail ordering a tune is an educated guess based on the assumption that all of the information about the vehicle is dead on... that all of the vehicles mechanical aspects are working 100% and so on...

I'm not saying I'm upset it wasn't the best tune, it never worked because that pcm was bricked. Not Moe's fault but mine for not just sending mine out.
I've bought two PCMs here and I'll never do it again.
The tuning aspect was the single biggest reason I went LS. So much easier to just order HPTuner and be able to do stuff yourself. Me and 3 friends with LS stuff went it and bought it so it was cheap, and now I can just have my buddy tweak my tune whenever I do something new. Might be worth looking into if you can use HPT for the 24x stuff.

I had 100 invested in mine, including cable and program. Learned to do it myself. Osie has over 2k in his, and the 200 mail order is better than the 1600 "dynosaur" tune

But u said it urself... he pulled the car from them early cause it was there for a while and he didnt wanna keep spending the money. I left mine there till they were done with it (and I definitely paid for it)... but its the closest to "perfect" that its ever been.

Also, this is just a tune to make the car drivable.
I already have a guy do to a street tune.
Lost in translation. They said it was ready, he went to get it, paid for it over phone the day before and went down on a Saturday. He got there and it didn't want to start, and the ride home was surgy and not running like it should. Dove into the tune and even moe said the tune was wrong. I'm glad your car runs great from them. His didn't.

Spec Stage 2 clutch kit, Spec steel flywheel, ARP PP bolts, and pushrods have been ordered.
That was a fast 1100 spent.

A $350 tune for a LT1 is less money for a LS tune.
When OP finally gets to a good tune it will cost about the same as a LS tune.
I'm so confused on how the work is different.

Unlocked my ecu in HTP for $100 and I can update it when I need to for free lol. The LS is better already so they don't need to be upgraded to make as much power. And the things I did on that list were cheaper because people like me more since i have a LS swap.

What are you on about? When I looked into getting HPT for my 24x swap it was $500 for the interface and credits. Even if you bought the interface used for a few hundred, you still have to spend $100 for each PCM you unlock and bricking one leaves you SOL. Tuning an LT1 only takes a $60-80 cable, my crappy laptop, and some freeware.
This platform is dying but still cheaper for builds 425whp and under.
I just had to buy credits, I already have access to the interface. I don't know about that 'cheaper 425whp and under', I should be close to that HP number hopefully, and will have no place near what this build costs into mine. Obviously Dan could have done it cheaper than he did if that was his goal, but the prices you guys pay for stuff blows my mind when i know what i'll have into mine to be comparable.
Either way... to each their own. To say one is cheaper than the other is not a true statement... its all in what kind of deals u find... how much DIY u are capable of, etc. It wont be long before the LS platform is basterdized to the newest, latest and greatest.

It's not about the money to me. I'm not into junkyard and used parts builds. Of course i could have picked up a set of afr 195cc heads off lt1 nation for cheap and just got a cam.
That's not what this build/shit show is about. It's about me brah.
Ls platform is better no shit but their community is trash and the proof is here.
You're right about us getting off topic Dan. I'm a HUGE lurker and I have read every page of your build and I give you props for digging into your project the way that you have.

I dug into this because blown headgasket. I'm going to school for engineering so that helps too.
