Can you remove your Crowers with the heads on? I know the Morels everyone uses (5206) are too long.
Was thinking about getting Morel 4708 lifters and reusing the stock spider/dogbone system but adding a second modified spider on top to make sure a dogbone never comes off. Overkill but it can't hurt. Last thing I want is to be a victim of murphy's law.
No, his crowers (and mine) cannot be taken out without the head coming off. Can't take the head off in the car. Wait. Crap. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
I do not know what morel PN but a set will come in/out with heads on.
That's definitely a deal-breaker for me. Car is already a major PITA to work on. If I had to pull the motor from the bottom because of a small issue I'd probably have an aneurism lol.
Ditto on crowers being too long but I am able to slip Lunati link bars in with the heads on. Can't remember the part number off hand though.
Those sound like the street link bars. They're made by Morel for Lunati and are supposed to be really similar to LS7s (.700" wheel).
Dunno what it is about LS7s but they seem to be hit or miss nowadays.
Gamble on LS7 stuff (which odds are, will be perfectly fine) or just make it rain and gamble you get quality for the extra money.
Well, I'm about $4k deep into this thing (after subtracting parts I've sold from the old motor) and still have a bunch more I need to spend. Guess I can't cheap out now. Time to make it rain.
Make it rain. No regrets except for the monthly Bill.
Food is overrated, its like being a poor college kid, cept you get car parts instead of tests!
