Whats it cost to ship a bumper cover?
The seller said 125-150 via Greyhound. I assume he is a frequent shipper and probably gets a good rate. Unfortunately, I have to drive to Harrisburg to pick it up. We agreed on 480 shipped, which the last price on one I saw was 500 and it was cracked.
No reproductions are out there yet. I've seen plenty of bird bumpers and obviously have one, but no T/A bumpers.
The Greyhound station is in downtown Hbg, maybe 10ish minutes from the farm show complex. If you have never been to Harrisburg it is a small city. I went to college nearby and used to goto "clubs" downtown, but couldn't tell you what is there now besides corrupt politicians.
For anyone keeping track, the bumper was shipped on 8/10/21. It is now 8/23/21 without an update on where it's at in the tracking info aside from when it was tagged in Texas. We were told 7-10 days, but the seller (who has been awesome and very communicative and proactively calling Greyhound for updates, plus going to them and making sure it wasn't laying on their dock somewhere) was told that the new ETA was 9/6 due to its size and the "next transfer" is to go through Dayton, OH. I don't know much about Greyhound, but I know enough never to use them again lol. Luckily, the car isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
I did order 4 20" wallmount commercial fans for the shop. I'm an airflow guy and the steel building turns into a furnace when it's hot and humid outside. I want to install the fans around each post of the lift. I don't think it'll help much with detailing, but it'll absolutely help with me wanting to detail when it's disgusting outside lol. Those couple of 95+ degree days last week did me in. Also, my air handler/AC unit in the attack decided to leak through my bedroom ceiling in the house I just bought last year, so that's awesome.

Split unit and modular insulated box around lift?
That's an option, but it would make the inside of the shop feel way smaller than it already feels now. (I'm so spoiled with having a 32x60 shop now it's disgusting haha)
The goal for my detail and undercoating business is to outfit the shop with my profits as well as cover all business expenses. Eventually I'll have some real heating and cooling solution in there paid for by the business. I installed 1 of the 4 fans last night and am very impressed with the airflow despite the humidity outside. Looking forward to installing the other 3! The downside is the noise coming off of the fans, but it's worth it. It's not like the air gun or polishers don't drown out the stereo anyway lol.

After being in the incapable hands of Greyhound for a month and a half, myself and the seller calling them every other day looking for a status update, it finally arrived this past Thursday. The Harrisburg Greyhound/Amtrak terminal is a dumpster fire. It's a super old building and it's loaded with homeless and interesting characters. I don't recommend!
The bumper itself has a few new scuffs as it wasn't exactly handled with care. Nothing too crazy as it needs paint anyway. So at this point, I can't think of a single thing I need in terms of parts to get this car running and driving out of the shop. Nostrils in the OEM hood would be nice, but I don't see that happening haha.
Now where can I buy some time?
