For me, the range time is for me to get comfortable with what I have, you're right. It's not all about simply hitting a target, but to feel comfortable with what you are carryin b is important

I agree..... Mad training and preparation so reward them with a beer or two. It would be nice for active military to be the exception to the rule on the 21 drinking age . But that's another discussion

Still making my point. Proficiency has nothing to do with responsibility to carry a fire arm. 19 years old without dicipline and training IS 2 young. Period.

I cam agree with that. Umfortunatley the govt would not make the exceptions to the law... but yes. Trained...active and willing to.die for the country and others should definitely afford those people special treatment.
