Mini project, always wanted a third gen and missed having a stock F-body. Did some suspension stuff and maintenance to it. Just replacing weather stripping and restoring the interior in it now. The car is an 89 GTA, L98, 48K miles. Cool car to cruise in, squeaks and rattles like you figure a third gen would

It's kind of fun, you feel like an 80s drug dealer. Not the King Pin like Pablo or anything, but a middle management kind of guy. You're not street level, you're not up top, but you could still get whacked or catch a federal case.

@Neil350 I didn't realize that GTA was so low mileage. Nice pickup. Those have always been one of my favorites (Used to have a 91 GTA myself).

I think owning one of these cars is for ever being jealous of the Fox body guys. Now with how easy it is to swap modern engines, the power aspect is gone. How ever I am jealous of how much restoration stuff they have. You can get what ever you want for those cars. Third gens are starting to get some stuff for them through Hawks, but nothing like the Fox guys have enjoyed. I would love a set of 91-92 T/A tail lights, but they're next to impossible to find. I remember seeing pictures of you red T/A, correct me if I am wrong but wasn't that your second third gen? Larry had a red 91-92 305 TBI Firebird from what I recall as well.

It needs them pretty bad, you can hear it creak and flex coming out of driveway. I have a set of Alston frame connectors I need to have welded in. I also picked up an Astro steering shaft, the factory one has a worn rag joint so the steering has a ton of play in it.

Mine was a 92... still miss it. Sold it after the academy to keep me out of trouble. Lol.

Haha, yep. Had an 84 Firebird SE as my first car, and the 91 GTA was my second car. Stepped into a 99 T/A, brand new off the showroom floor after that, then lemon lawed it 8 months later and got the infamous Black 93 T/A.
