Couldnt imagine what I would do if I didnt have good insurance.
And thats not figuring in proceedures and treatments for my "health issues."

I always wonder what things would be like it hospitals/med facilities charged what the service actually should cost and not an inflated number that is reduced by insurance anyway. The tax break here is the the med facility can then claim the difference as a "loss" for tax time.
On another topic, I'm having lot of fun with warranty service. I swear good or even decent customer service is dead. No one actually gives a shit about your situation nor wants to "make something happen." Not one person has given me an update on their own. Car has been at the dealer for nearly 3 weeks as it took time to diagnose and then parts were finally ordered. Dealer is given an estimate eta of parts and they did not arrive as expected. Was told should be the next day....now they don't know what is going on or have a date of arrival. I call the customer service team to see if they can push this along so the dealer can get the part and do their job. I'm told they will escalate the issue. Days go by and no response. I'm told all has been done to try and expedite and resolve the situation. The part is said to be shipped but do not know where it is at the moment. The part is rather pricey so one would assume they have appropriate tracking of these things. I ask to speak to a manager or supervisor and I get the line "we do not have a manager here." I rephrase my question and ask them to confirm he/them have absolutely no management? He says yes..... so I press more and ask him "so you are the president/CEO of this company?" We go on for a bit more. At this point, I'm likely going to have to file a complaint and perhaps take other action.

Snapped the stock driveshaft. Had an aftermarket one in there prior but due to prior warranty work, they didn't want it in there. Driveshaft was replaced but had some noise and vibration at highway speed after the DS was replaced. Took it back in and it's been there since. Tech says the trans tailshaft bearing may have gotten hurt so they are replacing the whole thing. They do not repair these transmissions. Fine by me but shouldn't take this long to get a part.
Thanks on the supra. It was a good deal and the car is solid. It needs a few things addressed but will be a fun clean up project.
