Bull, SWAT already has armored vans, they don't need shit that can stop an RPG... And did I say anything about bullet proof vests? No. Police grade equipment in our cities is fine. Military grade needs to stay in the possession of military. That's my stance on it. Can't have stories of crooked cops abusing the power of military equipment if they don't have it in their inventory to begin with.
And before you say it, I'm not saying all cops are not to be trusted, but even you can't deny there are far too many stories around the nation of police abuse of power. To prevent more shit happening, it's easiest to just not give them overpowered stuff in the first place. SWAT has always done perfectly fine with the vehicles they have now. They don't need military equipment.
