Well, finally done with the INTAKE hearing. Today was simply a hearing in front of the judge to decide if he should be held in JUVI till his trial date, or if he should be released.
He is being HELD, and infact, the District Attorney wants to attempt to certify him as an adult.... so that he may be tried as an adult.
Unfortunately, that sort of stuff happens why more than we realize. The foster care system is a sad one to be sucked into. My good friend was a foster child, along with her brother for several years, and she was subjected to a lot that children shouldn't have to deal with.
I just don't understand why children that are being fostered are being treated so badly. Are people so callous that they mistreat a child so often? How do they even get to be foster parents in the first place? Why do they do it if they're treating the kids like that.
I'm hugging my boys when I get home.
