If you are tight with the shop, have the insurance guy come total it, and then swap in a junk motor/trans for the flatbed ride to junkyard. Don't buy back anything :lol:Quote:

Keep us updated on how Hagerty handles the situation. I got a quote last night on my car, around 1200 a year for 30k coverage and the 150 mile roadside assistance. If they treat you good I'll be going with them. I know anthony has been looking into them also. I hope they do the right thing

You young guys can get away with the healing process with no hip repairs, but we old farts get arthritis damage, and that is what requires the hip replacement or major pinning.
I guess your insurance covers the county's guard-railing damage, doesn't it?

Was there a mileage limit on your policy? I will be looking into speciality insurance on my T/A due to the money invested versus what the street value of the turd actually is.
Hopefully surgery can be avoided.

Damn hate to hear this but glad your ok, or at least better than you could be for not having a belt on! Sounds like the car did it's job of protecting you and hopefully you can keep it and reuse some of the parts. It sucks how fast all the money and man hours that go into a car can be ruined so quickly but at least you were the only occupant and doing ok.
Hope it will heal with out surgery.
Hope that the drive train is all good and the buy back price is good.
You have a couple of good candidates for the drive train.

The car will be missed, but not nearly as much as you would be!
