Love the valve covers, is it air brushed? Also where are you going to mount your coils? Keep up the progress!

Ok cool, I will just run it as is now.
Jon, for this kit, I do not need an oil scavenge pump correct? I had a nice easy drain, but forgot a starter goes there lol
Real quick... the IC brackets, don't seem to be right.

The brackets are too short to grab the bolts on the bottom on the IC. Do you have any pics showing install?
Any body have contact info for realquick?
www.lt1boost.net, email is Jon@lt1boost.net
Yea he emailed me back, just was a little anxious to mount the silly IC for some progress. lol
In a related thought, idk if you guys are on tech much, but another LS1 turbo kit builder went under, and yet, Jon's been round since 2007? Gotta love it. :claps:
Who went under? I almost became a casualty of the OFI debacle, he had $1800 of my dollars and disappeared. I tracked him down, called him at his new job, told him I was filing suit and he better get his documentation ready because I was going to drive right through his OFI Corporate veil, and I had my money back in 2 days.
And big Congrats to Jon. AFAIK he's still the ONLY mass producing LT1 turbo kit guy.
Ky turbo closed up shop
looks like a nice build.....bet you'll have lots of fun with it!
So, SD or MAF tune. Go go go
I think of ur in a place where the weather doea not change alot...and if it will be more race car than dd...go for SD...
I think if its more of a driver and there are more variations to ur weather ...go MAF....

Ok,anyone know what fastbird is running? I know he has a FAST setup, so not entirely a apple to apple comparison.
Hopefully he chimes in

^^^^Nice!
Bought a MWC front bumper support, realquick seems to disappeared so using the bumper support to mount the IC
Jakes in TX
Same way mine was packaged. Mine's been working just fine so far. FMVB with brake eh?
Also I saw a few posts about boost guys leaving the game. Is RealQuick outta the turbo thing now?
Full PCM commanded shifts, and IDK, I think Jon is still doing it, just hasn't got back to my email I sent a ways back.
So which of those two cams did you choose?
How long's it been on that email? I'm sure that support will work to mount the IC no problem.
Went with a LE 224/224 cam, he did excellent in speccing one for that guy with the F1a on his TA, so I trust his suggestion.
Sent the email a few weeks ago, not that concerned really, the bumper support will hold the IC fine and make it a little easier to remove.
You have any pics of your 80e swap?
Single pattern, people knock em, but I've seen the ones LE designs work very well.
No not really, when I did the swap my back was against the wall so I did everything as fast as I could and didn't stop till it was done. You may have to clearance the tunnel for the electrical plug [a crossbrace if I recall] but everything else went relatively smooth. I made my own transmission crossmember from a factory M6 one, because the mounting pad is much father to the rear, but eventually got a BMR tubular one. Bending true duals was tough only because of my BMR Trak Pak. I used a Lokar dipstick and Precision Industries converter [two of them, got a restall for the new motor]. I have a Derale deep pan in the garage for it, but I had to go back to a factory pan because it was causing problems loading it on my gooseneck.
Any issues with the lokar dipstick with filling through it and then reading the level?
Nope, been working good for me the past 5 years or so. It's the flexible one.
Ok thanks, was stuck between that and the madman 80e dipstick.
Badass:thumbsup:
can't wait to be there myself
This is a bumper support
