Why not do it right? http://www.jegs.com/i/Moroso/710/25900/10002/-1 Weld into the header collectors, set the rings better, evac and sounds kick ass when you are driving. Also known as "whistlers". (Think pro charger sound) Been around for many years and works like a champ.
I ran braided stainless to a vented (hidden) catch can. I'll try to take some pics this week while I'm cleaning for the Super Chevy Show this weekend in Indy.

I was introduced to that set up from a very wise top fueler from the 70's Jerry Clayton. With proper exhaust set up/size what would be the reasoning behind it not working properly with scavenging effect? I could see if you had cats, stock manifolds and a restrictive muffler, but for the most of us with long tubes no cats and free flowing 3 inch exhaust it works just fine. The more the exhaust scavenges, the more vac it will pull and seat the rings.
What's your exhaust setup and can you tell if it pulls vaccum at idle? Also I was concerned with the oil mist being deposited/ burned on the O2's and causing a false reading, have you had any O2 issues?
Here's some pics of my pcv filter. It comes out of the pcv valve to the filter mounted under the relay/ fuse box then into the port under the TB.
im talkin about the tube that goes from the back of the pass side valve cover...what does every1 use on that
I simply use a Moroso breather...that's it
I use the same filter as firebat suggested on page 1 and a regular rubber hose to the TB.
