also could it be just a cheap filter, and the bypass valve is making it drop pressure?
maybe I should invest in the white pressure spring? Yes its full of oil lol, and i'm running a wix filter. Engine isn't really very old it shouldn't be having trouble with the screen plugging up...
This has been posted many times over the years. The overwhelming consensus is there are times the stock windage tray allows for agitation of the oil. What you can do is run the engine a quart low, do some hard acceleration runs and see what happens. If the pressure is stable then it is indeed a windage issue.
I had the same issue years ago. Turned out that for some folks the factory dipstick is not labled correctly. You end up putting too much oil in the pan and the crank aerates it which causes a loss in pressure. Change your oil, put only 5 quarts in total and you should be alright. That worked for me.
