What is it about the roots blower that is so popular in nhra over a turbo or centrifugal? It seems like all the fast ones have a big ol huffer on them.
Superchargers will make the most power, because of rules they aren't used that much. Also consistency and staging with a turbo and building boost are hard to do repeatedly.
Centrifugal blowers are becoming better and better every day, they have great response and pretty good efficiency. Also not allowed in some rules.
Best blower is the PSI C & D screw blower, instant power, efficient, and as much power as you dare. Once again limited by rules.
The roots blower has a different less efficient rotor design than the screw blowers but is pretty much accepted by everyone. Makes great power, easy to work on and way cheaper.
They have something like 24 injection nozzles for the engine. Most of the fuel is injected after the blower in the down nozzles located just behind the intake valve.
TOYS and MONEY...
two things u can NEVER have to much of.
