Yeah you're right! From what I was told the ultra z hood was actually designed to be used on the SS Camaro. GM didn't like the hood... so slp and gm came up with the hood that you see on the ss 4th gens.
This ultra z hood was hanging in the office of one of the engineers at slp. Attachment 21535

I'm not sure. He didn't mention pricing. I've seen some for the lsx camaro's for about $420 + shipping. I like that price. Obviously, the more expensive, the less he'll sell

I like them but not for the price they seem to cost

I am in. Will pay now if I had a date of manufacture.

Random........On the way home from work a couple days ago I saw an LT1 Z with the Ultra-Z hood on it. No idea who it was though.
