My son got his first today wit an asterisk. I made the case because where the bait needed to be was a specific spot that he was having trouble getting to. But as he's reeling it in I saw his little mini-me rod bend and asked if he had something. He says yeah right as the fish takes a run, then says "Oh holy moly! Mommy! I got a huge one! I gonna need help!" She comes over and he reels it all the way in then she takes the rod and lifts it out. About a 2lb drum, not bad for a first fish.

My wife caught about 3 and I got about 10 of them and one small channel. One drum I caught was abotu 5-6 lbs, and completely caught me off guard with it's size. NEVER have I been on so many drum before. This was all below the dam at Rousch reservoir. TONS of drum hanging out there.

Shit. You should have seen my face when I hooked that big 5-6lb drum and my rod folded in half. He didn't hit the hook hard but once he started pulling I was like WTF!!!!!

I fish a lot. Actually every Tuesday I have a bass tournament somewhere. We won last week :) (its like working a Saturday overtime) made over 30 bucks a hr to fish! I love it. But all fresh water fishing around here. Small mouth are my favorite. But catch mostly large mouth.
