also i would like to kno whats so bad about monster kits?

IIRC from the thread of another member dealing with Monster right now, it has more to do with Monster's lack of customer service and generally giving him the run around.
-
oh alright so it really not that the kit completly sucks or they break fast its just the customer service?
-
I believe he had had Monster rebuild a tranny for his truck that was used as a grocery getter and it broke down in less than 10k miles of use (no hard use according to him) and he was looking to get it repaired under warranty work. Let me see if I can dig up the thread for you, I don't want to get the facts wrong and mislead you lol.
EDIT: Here it is:

I've rebuilt many Monster transmissions. Their parts are all junk. Their builds are even worse. They charge almost $3000 for a stock trans with a shift kit...Not a performance built transmission.

We have builds ranging from $800 to $1500 (based on your supplied core). Since you're in Texas, shipping would be $150 (each way). It may be a better option to just have me build you a complete unit with me supplying the core, which would save you shipping it to me. We do charge for "hard parts" with customer supplied cores, which means we charge for parts not normally replaced in a build that are too damaged to reuse. These parts may include things like a planetary, pump, drum, etc. Not all transmissions require hard parts, though. We do have a $300 "ceiling" on hard parts, which means that's the most extra it could cost. This is why I suggest having us supply a core. Let's say you spend $150 to ship yours to us and then you hit the $300 ceiling on hard parts?
Our $800 "Performance" build will provide a crisper shift, but is geared more toward the street enthusiast who doesn't take their car to the track. Our $1000 "Race" unit is for cars with a little more power that see occassional drag strip use. Our "Pro Race" unit is more for heavy track use or any car cutting less than a 1.7 60 ft. time or a heavy car. In extremely high HP cars or extremely heavy cars, we suggest the $500 billet output shaft option to the "Pro Race" build.
So, with us supplying a core, packaging and shipping, you're looking at $1500 total for a "Race" build or $2000 total for a "Pro Race" build. All transmissions have a 1 year warranty, providing you purchase the correct level build for your intended purpose.
