Why are the new Camaro's so slow?

Man, i would really expect something greater from the ALMIGHTY LS lol

A guy at a recent track day had a 2011 SS 6 speed with long tubes a CAI, tune and drag radials and was running 12.1-12.3 all day and I wouldnt classify him as a good drag racer.

for the cost and what is under the hood. the 5th gens are disapointing. My friend has a 2011 SS. and i drove it a few times. and wasnt impressed. there heavy. and there size and body leave little to be desired.

Your 10.000 dollar 02 didnt cost that in 02... And when figuring many of the extra options... Advances im technology and even just the increase in the cost of living.... I think u will be suprised show close their NEW window sticker prices are.

my mom has a 2012 2SS vert... its a quick and fun car.. but i hate driving it, its like trying to drive a tank, visibility and weight wise! and for the record... the best looking 4th gen is the 96-97 camaro SS... ;) i use 4th gen pontiacs for winter beaters ;)

That's true.

I just dont like 5th gens, so I talk them down. :laugh:

I guess the reason why is because I have owned Three 4th gen f-bodies. They are my favorite cars.

I understand...and as said earlier...to each their own.... But i hace the window sticker for my 1996 camaro... And in 1996 (16 years ago) it was $26,000 & its was a low 14 sec car...Im sure it was hated on by the 3rd gen ers...lol

There is a guy here in my town that his car is known as "the craigslist car" because with all the money he has in it including the car is only 8,000 and he runs 10's...its a 99z28
