Oh yea I remember that one. Its kind of a remote mounted setup. Very slick but expensive ill bet. If I was going to do a roots setup it would be mostly for looks and done on the cheap. I've got a guy local to me that has a 6-71 off an old Detroit diesel for $150. There are lots of aftermarket parts that make them suitable for street use. By the time you get it up to par you're looking at close to $1k plus the cost off making it work with the lt1 intake. But man..... it would look sweet..... its got me thinking now......
I gotta tell you man.. the intrest that guy had in his design over there was NUTS... and he was saying the cost would be comparable to an F1A.... now if you have the know how and ability to make it work on the cheap.... or at least cheaper.....Quote:

Yes I agree. But i think the big thing about his design was to keep it under a stock hood. I'm working with a different body style all together. I've got several lt1 intakes laying around and I can get that Detroit blower for $150. I'll tinker around and see if I can get something with some potential. If I can get the blower on the lt1 intake, then I can drop the loot on the blower rebuild for street use. And if its a huge flop, well I have a new end table, or maybe a DOORSTOP!
So this morning I got the engine pulled from the monte. One of the few engines I've pulled that can come straight out the top...

Found out the motor mounts are different on the nova from 6 to 8 cylinder so I've got to order a set of v8 mounts to get it finished then the work on the monte shall begin.

Where did you get your v8 motor mounts?
I ordered Nova 350 V8 frame side mounts and LT1 block side solid mounts, both from Summit.

This one is getting a plain jane 350. I thought about it though. I read somewhere that it is only 47 pounds heavier than a 2 door. I'm selling this one to fund the monte.
