As long as the broken bolts don't hinder your headers. The ONLY reason I would go manifolds is if I HAD to have a turbo and only about 500 bucks to spend lol.

Lol the turbo I'm looking at is $900. Headers use a different bolt hole than manifolds on the outside bolt so it won't be a problem. Just need to start shopping for headers
Dont turbo headers go forward.... so that the turbo mounts forward of the motor (with the exception of sts set ups)?
Yes sir rear mount for me. Got it all planned out except one part. Still thinking about building an oil tank with a pump instead of running lines all the way to the engine. Mount it in the cubbyhole hole on the left in the hatch and drop my lines out there and bam into the turbo. Gonna run my cold side down the passenger side and go to the front bumper into a intercooler and across, bring it up where the factory airbox sits and into the intake. Should be a nice setup when I'm done.
Thanks Jim on a serious note what's wrong with them as far as running them temporily until I get my stainless ones ordered and what would you want for them? Also are they longtubes/mids/Shorties?
sounds like a great plan to me.....
They are the kind of header where the tubes slid into the collector and a bolt clamps them down. They have an exhaust leak coming from somewhere in the middle of the pipes. I still have to cut them out of the car and take a closer look. They might not even be worth trying to salvage. I'll let you know whenever I get around to that lol, busy busy busy with school this week and weekend.
Longtubes.
As far as your idea for the tank w/ pump, don't forget some kind of oil cooler. I would want on in an oil system that small just to make sure temps stayed down, and and a very accurate oil temp gauge as well
Alright let me know. I'm gonna look around and see if I can't find a cheap set used in case yours aren't salvageable. As far as an exhaust leak they would have to be better than what I've got now. It sounds awful.
On the tank glad you meantioned that didn't think about it. Wouldn't be hard to add in and I was gonna do an oil pressure gauge but didn't think about a temp gauge. I'm still not sure which way I'm going to go. People run from the front to the rear with no problems I just am nervous about oil lines traveling that far. We will see when time gets closer.
Like I say just trying to fix a few small items before the shootout and I can buy parts week after next but I won't have time to let the orders come in
