Sometimes they'll come back. just leave the battery disconnected for about 1/2 hour and it may come back to life.
I've done a whole bunch of em, and about every 10 or so, will have a problem either reading or writing to it. When they have an error during the read, they will almost always come back. If they error during the write, its about 50/50.
yea, i tried unplugging the battery for about 30 minutes, and not life is restored. just waiting for my madz28 tuned pcm to come in and send the dead one back it. this will count as a core right? it has no physical damage or anything, just pcm needs to be reset somehow.
I have fried about 5 pcms in the last 10 years while flashing the new bin files in. Not very common but it does happen.
its not bad just have to take your time and change one thing at a time..that a way if you do booger something up, you can go to the previuos file.
thats wierd..i have probally done around 75 loads on my 94 pcm .no problems...knock on wood... i always make sure i have full battery tho
