So today I finished running the fuel lines from the hard lines under the car to the relocated fuel regulator goodbye ugly plastic lines.

I didn't cut any holes

is that not a metal edge they go up thru?
if I'm wrong then fine, but if it's metal, put something therehttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...91a5a67114.jpg

There ran the same routing as the stock fuel lines they just poke straight up instead of going forward out the top of the fender well

Definitely the right name. Looking a little haggered under there. Body wise. Yeah and one can't be too careful on the way fuel lines are run. The engine and fuel lines look better then the car :)

Ugly car that halls ass ... that's the goal

Yep. Hope it does.

Well got the throttle cable adapter on fuel system finished and radiator in and burped.
I decided to go with black steel braided fuel line to the carburetor just to make it a little more discreet. my throttle cable bracket has roughly an inch and a half of adjustability as well as the adaptor where I had to cut off the little hammer on the end of the stock cable. So I have roughly two and a quarter inches of adjustability which is pretty nice I guesshttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...48327d76e0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ff916a2199.jpg

Today I also ran it for a little while for the first heat cycle on the header wraps.

Did I see a milk jug for the overflow?
Im not only an LTXtech member... Im also the Owner.
I was actually just burping the system that had fresh water in it. I'm going to hide a small tank in front of the passenger tire in the fender

But I have seen worse things rigged up

Well did a little rerouting of the coolant crossover for the back of the heads .... put it in the fender.
This engine bay is turning out very clean.
Need to paint my coolant overflow black still.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...cf30c86464.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b83d518c35.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...086d59b642.jpg

@Tubby Z28
See the wire loom around the hose as it goes through the hole?
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
Doesn't that crossover see high temps? Will that hose handle it? Just wondering case that crossover is called a steam pipe.
It's not how fast you mow. It's how you mow fast.
It dosent get too hot ... keep the motor about 160 or less

I took off work to go out to the LTX shootout regardless of my car being finished ... however now that the event has been postponed I have 5 days no work and a car not finished..... beautiful weather perfect opportunity and tons of motivation I'm going to give this thing put together

Today .... wires
EWP, fan, line lock, nitrous fuel cell
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
Now I just have to run signal wires to my switch panel ... all in all I think it turned out goodhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9bc885868b.jpg

Well motor is done and wired up and done.

Well a big step was finished today ... th400 was installed. I put in a 9" FTI 3800-4000 stall. So next step is put in the trans coolers in and run trans lines. Measure for a drive shaft then drive.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3b8eece5da.jpg
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
Still need a drive shaft measurement
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
Got a yoke for the transmission and measured for a drive shaft. Loos like I'll need 43 1/8" center to center on the flanges so I have a driveshaft that will work ... just need to chop about 1 1/4" off it or shorten the yoke uphttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2067f37d86.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...587bd8291a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6b2f1d688f.jpg

Lil late to party, but you grommet the non moving piece so the moving piece rubs against a non sharp edge. Grommeting the move part just buys you time before it cuts through.
Also, to continue being negative, you really should rethink a hose full of steam/water above your front tire.
Well I got a Hurst Pro Matic 2 shifter for the car and it's going to be modified. I'm going to put the Piston rod from cylinder number 4 on it to be the shifter arm. Cylinder number 4 was the one that had a ring land got damaged. It's a little bit heavy so I'm going to drill several holes in it to lighten it up as much as I can.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ecf08fb28a.jpg
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
I didn't know you were building a ratrod? lol
I'm not .... but that is something I wanted to incorporate with the new setup
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
So today I got the tachometer mounted where I want it.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c4bbc3498a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...241bc653e6.jpg

This weekend I did alot with the car ... I got the trans cooler mounted and soft lines ran back to the trans. Fixed the leak I had with the brake lines. Bled the brake lines.
So I'm getting pretty close now I need to get a shifter cable. Change fluids and filters for motor and transmission. Then I should be able to move the car around on its own power.
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
Well I have big news coming. .... big news
Well today I'm changing the transmission filter and fluid which I've never done before in my life on any vehicle but once this is put back together and filled up the car should be able to drive out of the garage under its own power.
I have no idea what I'm looking at on the inside of a transmission but this is what the th400 looks like inside
Just as a reminder this is not the race transmission this is a temporary one to get it up and goinghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...74e8d39899.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...edfeb67b11.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...acae6b64b3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6468a25c55.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...38966792b6.jpg
