I got a letter taped to my door. That said i had to fix the issue or face fines!
I called the number on letter. And talked to Rick(my areas codes officer). And said what the issue with my car being parked in my driveway? He said it has been in same spot for a month. And is considered a violation. I had to move it into a garage. Or move it for him while he watched. To prove its streetable.
I asked why do i have to move it in front of him? And told him that will never happen. Because Im not going to drive my car around the block when i got my kid and no way to take my son in car.
He said move it to garage then. I said can't got a car in there. Then said what about cars under car covers over the winter. For people without a garage. You going to make them move there summer car and drive it in snow?
This is the most retarded law i ever heard. People can't keep a car parked in there driveway for over 7 days without getting threatened with a fine.
Messed up thing is a codes department employee lives 4 door down. And they have had a totalled grand am in there driveway for 5 years. Tell me that isn't dirty.

That's one reason I live in a town without stupid ordinances or HOA's. I've made a HOA news letter 1 or 7 times in the past.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The HOA where I used to live never had the balls to call anyone out; just put in the news letter that someone was doing wheelies (BS, never did it there) and loud exhausts in the neighborhood. It wasn't hard to see it was our house. In a neighborhood where the most extravagant car was a Nissan Maxima: 2 LS1 cars, G35, Turbo H22 Accord and 4 Bikes kind stick out.Quote:

Had a good day today! Got a lot done to my car. No more backfire! It was either bad gas or spark plugs. Geesh....
either way, its back together and now I can start tuning on it. Wife dropped the ball on getting it insured so the maiden voyage will have to wait till monday.
