Agreed on sfcs. My ws6 was very strong for what it was and hurt alot of feelings. But it was nothing compared to the formula I had previously. You have plenty of time to mod and get more comfortable with the car. The fastest car in the world is slow with someone unfamiliar with it behind the wheel.

Hmmm you know, I did just notice yesterday that there's a tiny dent in my rear passenger quarter panel right at the wheel well :( I thought some asshole door dinged me somewhere. That's probably from my race with the GTO yesterday, huh? Shit...

Most of us have fuked up just about everything up that can be on these cars. We're trying to teach you from our mistakes. When we tell ya something, we're trying to help you and save you time and money. If your quarters are dippling, your T tops will be leaking very soon.

Soooo, bolt-on or weld-in? Guess I'll be getting some SFCs sooner than I had planned. Looking at UMI's 3-pt. SFCs. Where's the best place to get a deal? Summit has them for $380 steel and $480 chromoly.

Edit: Also, what's the best way to get that dimple out? :(

The triangulated are the way to go. Weld in. Bolt in will eventually be weld in as well lol

Heat and ice might get it. Be careful not to burn the paint though. Otherwise sand, bodywork, and repaint.

Everybody is about the same, look for a deal on the shipping. Thats where you can save money. 3 point weld in FTW. Bolt-in will loosen up over time, the bolt holes will stretch, elongate and be useless until you end up weld them in.

I did CM on one and Steel on another, both have worked fine, it just down to your wallet. CM is stronger and lighter

Chromoly is stronger so it uses a thinner wall. But the strength is no different between the steel and chromoly 3 point.

IMO go with steel. there is a 5 pound weight difference. And only should consider this if you are going all out race car. And trying to find every ounce of weight savings.

My work has slooooooooooooooowed way down. The rain is keeping me inside and the UPS/Fedex guys haven't stopped by yet. I'm done with work already for the most part.

get them! the 3 points was my favorite mod outside the watts link as far as chassis parts go. Ive ran 2 point and 3 point. And it is the best one to get.

360 now, or 1000+ on the frame machine then +the 360 later, to fix what ya twisted.

For sure, guess I'll just have to use up the last bit of my savings account to get them LOL. And I found those on a good deal, but really what's the difference between the bolt-in and weld-in SFCs? All the pics looked the same to me.

The bolt ins are drilled, come with the bolts, and I believe the plates where body contact is made, is a little thicker.

Yeah you can weld bolt ins. I would make sure the body is ground down to bare metal for good welds. I don't trust other people to do the prep work correctly. I'm a rather safe than sorry guy.
