What plugs and gap?
Wow. I wouldn't have thought you'd need that small of a gap. Although I had mine (on my Vette) at .028 and it was blowing out, tuner took them down to .024 to get it stable at 17 PSI. Granted that's at over 900 RWHP, moving significantly more air. You could take the gap down some and see how it reacts. You running an OEM or aftermarket coil?
when the initial issue arose, it had an msd blaster coil. we put a new delco stocker on and it moved higher in the rpm range. now we have a msd digital 6 with the msd coil, and its still there
what i am seeing on the logs is the pcm voltage reading dropping over a run, by 3rd gear voltage is reading 11.5v.
car has upgraded battery cables, paperformance 200 amp alternator, new optima battery. the alternator is hot as hell all the time, and seeing weird voltage movement at idle now too. Moe had said something way back in 2013 about the pcm reading low voltage, but we upgraded all that stuff back then and its still showing up. not sure what to do.
i know the bkr6e is a projected tip plug, i wonder if switching to a br7ef would help

You could try a BR6EF plug also. Keep the heat range and move to the non-projected tip.
I think it's got something to do with the voltage though. Definitely concentrate on the voltage drop. Might be worth plopping a stock rebuild alternator in just to see how it acts.
Be expensive, but would be interesting to toss on a dyno with a heavy battery charger maintaining voltage and see if it blows out spark.
funny story, i have an aquaintance as does osie, who has a dynocom dyno in his garage, 10 mins away. @Ltconvert maybe we should call up eric and ask him for a few pulls (and your snowplowing LOL)
we are actually doing just that @Fastbird , reman alt going in, as well as a new exciter pigtail. going to possibly try the spare ground idea too.
I just looked at the log again, the car is breaking up slightly at wot in 3rd gear up to the stripe. only revved to 6350.
dyno log from 2017 shows a voltage drop but only down to 12.4v. at idle back then it was 13.6, now its 13.1, weird.

new alternator and header gaskets arrived. trying to maks island black friday.
Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Work and weather permitting, I'm gonna try to get there also.
ready to rock for tomorrow, last test and tune of the year at island. praying for some decent traction and a 10.7xhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8bd63360c6.jpg

10.78 at 125mph. thats all shes got for the year. the alternator and added ground seems to be helping, i did not see the voltage dropping now. left the 6k tune in it because the track didnt have good traction today.
Just want to thank everyone on here that has helped us along the way. car has totally surprised us and lived up to what people were saying it could do. happy holidays everyone!

got the brakes bled again, had bad bleeders not holding on the rear calipers. also started laying out the linelock wiring. fyi, if you delete fog lights, the harness/switch and wiring is perfect for the linelock and makes a boatload easier

went to the track today to test on the 275/60/15 et street radial pro's. went slower all around, fastest mph was 124 spinning. fastest pass was 11.04 at 122. so we are down a few mph and 3 to 4 tenths. ugh
atleast i got good data todayhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...59b1f300e1.jpg

This winter we are finally going to get serious. Motor is coming out and going to Karl Ellwein to make sure shes tip top, because the wick is getting turned up next year.
Going to send the trans to gail at cpt for a refresh/whatever updates they have since the last time it was there (billet input shaft i think it needs) and also be converted to 24x....
yeah, you read that right. 24X. I dont want to hurt this thing pushing on the obd1 computer any longer. rather just do it right and get a good speed density tune in. we have had a full 24x plug in setup from harner in the garage for like 4 years, its time to use it.

Gonna need more blower
