Ohhhh...and here i was always under the impression that studs were stronger than bolts because of the way tension pulls something or other (i know....very technical)

I'm sure there is a benefit over using regular bolts. But if you take 2 fasteners rated at 190,000 psi, one a stud and one a bolt, will the engine know the difference?
Maybe there is something on arps website that can explain it.
Idk... Maybe someone like @BIG CAT would know more details?

Hell yea. Maybe some experience can chime in. Only thing I see on arps website is studs allow more accurate torque loading
I really shouldn't bitch I guess. I was able to remove both heads in the car with the studs in. With my back being messed up and trying to tug on the heads and pull them off while fighting the urge to shit my pants made for a cranky rant. I'm over it.
Im going to take a 2 week job in paducah, ky. It starts Tuesday so I'm hoping to have the car running before then. I'll be starting it up on stock injectors and UNsupercharged this time. No more ring wash for this guy
