Rainbow unicorn might live again?
First start before bls?
Possibly, depends on weather and how busy work is when I go back.
Your buddy cardo on ls1 tech!
You sticking with your 7675 precision?
Yea, can't afford to really change to a large unit.
An old PT88 would work but thats a lot of work downpipe wise and of course the initial cost of a 88
He will likely get this started before mine seeing as mine is still sitting on an engine stand.
It's on now.... :)
Mine is gonna go fast right up until motor is in car and I start tinkering with the PCM hold down/harness...
But, here is the crossover dawdaw...

Looking good. Jealous of your progress. I better get an invite for first start.
Well, after working all day on the BLS mobile (which came damn close to starting today) I got home and said F it, lets tinker on my POS.

Gotta tackle the interior next I think, got a few electrical things I gotta do.
Looking good. That seat will make a big difference. Thanks for all the help today.
Glad to see your progress, really want to see you make it to the Shootout out this year. I just dropped of mine at the body shop so I spent the day working on my tow rig project today.
You know you enjoyed the pink AN wrench.
Yes. Best to avoid that if you can.
Hope we get dumped on tmmr night, and if I am off Tuesday I will tear out the harness and go to town.
#regret #fastbirdstatus
Lol

So, at the cost of many a brain cell, BLS and I made things shine

Maybe now my speedo will actually read 140mph at top end.
So, warm weather, and what started as just organizing the garage...

Engine is not all the way in, just supported by the strut towers and the dollies under the motor. Next step is to finish the harness mods and lay that over the motor (hence the not 100% in)
Progress.
Looks like a race car with the single plane and 24x... Elton John paint that engine bay?
...wut?
Opti spark is for men. Vortec ddistributor is for 1997 suburbans. WOMAN
We shall see.
If your distributor dies I will bring mine out of my 99 hoe.
Looks good dude. Need to finish it and crank it over
Thanks man, its getting there, gonna be a lot of misc work fixing loose ends. But steam is building, gonna be moving along quick now
Way to half ass the hold down and not bother with safety wire or a tac weld. :)
Looking good man!!! You are going to hurt a lot of feelings with this thing.

Almost done with mechanical stuff, avoiding the harness if you couldn't tell
Looks like some good progress man!
Got a few more mechanical odds and ends left, then, start with the electrical stuff.
Shooting for early April for start up.
can i just ask....
WHY?!?!?!?
Because unicorn.
Have you ever used the old fiberglass header wrap? I'm considering going with that lava rock stuff this time around but I already have 50 feet of the other stuff. Curious how ya like it.
Nice dude. I wish I would of gotten that 2 inch header wrap when I did mine. The 1 inch took forever . What's all left besides the harness?
What's the chocolates name
Nope, but this lava stuff is amazing. Wrapping the pipes is easy and best part, no itch what so ever. I did all of that with no gloves, long sleeves etc. Highly recommend it. Seems to not discolor either.
I gotta do the harness, guages into the HVAC panel, yank whats left of the HVAC, adjust the trans dipstick to read correctly, and some misc hold downs for brake lines etc. Its close, prob a solid day if I focused.
The lab is Hailey, and she is a crazy nut. She didn't get the memo that she doesn't need to be a puppy at three years old
Sweet. She should be ready for some spring testing?
