Nope. I don't know how or why. Just gotta figure out how to fix it and make it better. Might as well go ahead and do my slp lid
Well, I went to drive the car to school Monday. Started it up, and went to head out. Started hearing a clicking/tapping sound. I turned around and went back home and popped the hood. Sounded top end so I have started with the simple things..
Doing header gaskets and boy has it been anything but simple. To start, one bolt on the passenger side was missing. It was the far outer one in back. Since it wasn't there, as soon as I removed the other inner bolts, the header dropped. I had a fun time getting the bolt started and finally got it.
Now I'm missing two bolts [emoji35] [emoji35] [emoji35] [emoji35]
So tomorrow I'll pull valve covers and pray it's a loose rocker
I haven't touched them since I installed them and I've put 2000 miles on the car sooo.. Good thing I picked up another day at O'Reilly and applied for internships
it was most likely your header gasket leaking. I know when @Ltconvert header blew the gasket out we thought a rocker snapped.

Yeah 99.999% of the time its the gasket aqnd will sound like valve train loose or or broken. what i di is grab a large screwdrive and place the handle in the ear and the other end to the valve cover. works just like a stethoscope helps to pinpoint the noise. if you dont hear it louder then probly the gasket but its the gasket cause you said you lost some bolts. K
So the noise is for sure coming from the injectors. Did the ol fashion screwdriver to ear thingymajig. Plus a coil was loose and banging around..

Yeah but didnt you say your headet was loose. You can burn a hole in the gasket. What I do is put a piece of paper on a stick and move it around the flange to see if any exhaust is leaking.

I replaced the gaskets already. Started it up finally. The gaskets aren't leaking anymore. One was blown but this noise is for sure an Injector
